Tiddlywinks Nursery School Ltd have a large highly qualified staff team led by our dedicated and highly skilled management team. Tiddlywinks Nursery School are always looking for enthusiastic and passionate people to join our large nursery team. We endeavour to deliver the best induction and training process prior to your start date so you feel confident to start work within the nursery setting. At Tiddlywinks Nursery School, we encourage our practitioners to enhance their learning and qualifications. All of our practitioners are fully qualified or completing their qualifications with us. We currently employ practitioners who are qualified or studying towards level 2, level 3, level 5 and Level six B.A Hons degree in Early Years and level 4 in Management.

At Tiddlywinks Nursery School it is mandatory for all practitioners to have the following training:

  • Safeguarding
  • Paediatric first aid
  • Food hygiene
  • Working with babies

Are apprenticeship suitable for anyone?

Anyone aged over 17 who is looking to develop a career in Early Years is suitable to train with Tiddlywinks Nursery School. You may be new to this field or already be employed or volunteering in the sector, there is plenty of opportunity for everyone! There are no formal qualification entry requirements for our apprenticeship but you will need to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to ensure your suitability for this sector prior to your start date. Along with mandatory training for all practitioners to have the following training via their induction process

  • Safeguarding
  • Paediatric first aid
  • Food hygiene
  • Working with babies

 

Who are Tiddlywinks Nursery School Ltd?

Established in 2006, Tiddlywinks Nursery School Ramsbottom is  a family operated business  grown over the last ten years to expanding to a second setting Tiddlywinks Nursery School Chadderton during 2018. Tiddlywinks Nursery School Heywood will be opening during Autumn 2022.

We have 3  nursery settings to date and are responsible for the care and education of over 400 children. Tiddlywinks nursery School endeavour to provide excellent childcare and education, we are committed to ensuring that every child is given the best opportunities during their time with us. We have been providing committed, affordable and flexible childcare for over 15 years, accommodating childcare, After-school club and holiday club 52 weeks of the year forming a strong professional partnership with parents, carers and local communities.

Tiddlywinks Nursery School work in partnership with ‘Training Works’ who provide training to complete your qualification.

On enrolment you will be assigned a tutor within Training Works and a ‘mentor’ within Tiddlywinks Nursery School who will guide you through your apprenticeship. Our apprenticeship programmes form part of a wider training strategy of professional development and promotion within our nurseries, increasing staff retention and morale. Apprenticeships are work-based qualifications lasting between 12 and 21 months.  You’ll complete both practical on-the-job training to get real work experience as well as off-the-job learning to develop your knowledge and understanding of your job role. You will gain the chance to work with other practitioners and gain an understanding and passion for the childcare career.

What apprenticeships are available at Tiddlywinks Nursery School Ltd?

Intermediate Apprenticeship 

An Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2) has an equivalent educational level of 5 GCSE’s at grade A*-C/ 9-4 PLUS:

  • NVQ Level 2
  • GNVQ Intermediate
  • Functional Skills Level 2
  • BTEC First Diploma

Advanced Apprenticeship 

An Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) has an equivalent educational level of 2 A Levels PLUS:

  • NVQ Level 3
  • GNVQ Advanced
  • BTEC National Certificate
