Outdoor Provision
Outdoor learning is known to positively impact children's well-being and development. Children at Tiddlywinks Nursery School are able to access our exceptional outdoor environments, which are richly resourced with play materials that can be adapted and used in different ways, each and every day.
The outdoor areas, purposely built and resourced using parent and child feedback, encourage learning across all areas and offer great opportunities and space for free movement and exploration. It is our view that there is no better learning environment for children up to 5 years than the great outdoors which is why each child’s key group experiences a range of outdoor activities on a daily basis.
Our exceptional purpose built outdoor areas have continuous provision right across our settings to allow children to have access to indoors and outdoors across the day. Outdoor learning provides children with the opportunity to amaze and delight in the everyday, at their own pace, alongside supportive key carers who build upon the children’s interests.
Our Carefully thought-out purpose built environments give children the chance to explore, discover and take appropriate risk. Practitioners embrace all weathers, teaching children about the unique seasons of the year.

Tiddlywinks Nursery School provides each child each term with a outdoor pack including; a full body suit, a summer outdoor coat, a thermal winter outdoor coat, a thick woolly winter hat, scarf and a summer hat.
