Meet our Tiddlywinks Teachers

At Tiddlywinks Nursery School, we encourage our nursery teachers to enhance their learning and qualifications. All of our practitioners are fully qualified or completing their qualifications with us. We currently employ practitioners who are qualified or studying towards level 2, level 3, level 5, Honors Degree in Early Years and level 4 in Management.

Our amazing teachers are trained in a research based approach about how to meet children’s needs and ensure stronger social emotional development. We believe that this will enable your child to flourish and we will work with you to ensure they are prepared for their next school.

At Tiddlywinks Nursery School it is mandatory for all practitioners to have the following training:

Meet our Tiddlywinks Team

Lorraine M

is based at Tiddlywinks Nursery School Administration Department.

Lorraine is the founder and Nursery Director of Tiddlywinks Nursery School.

Lorraine previously worked at Lloyds Bank for 20 years, is a qualified EYFS teacher, child protection social worker who has continued to grow within the nursery setting offering excellent opportunities for all children of all ages, abilities and differences.

Lorraine was born 5th of 6th children, being surrounded by a large family atmosphere, censored around security, trust, independence and selflessness. It is of this that we focused on quality not quantity, 100% commitment and supporting one another as we opened our doors to our second setting Chadderton. Married to Brain for nearly 35 years we together have sacrificed much but are delighted to have enabled our greatest efforts contributed to the nursery settings, children and families we have catered for and thank our past, present and future families for sharing our vision.

Lorraine does travel to both Tiddlywinks Ramsbottom and Tiddlywinks Chadderton on a weekly basis to fulfil her job role.

Job Title – Nursery Director, responsible person, teacher and lead safeguarding

Lorraine is happily married, has 4 children, one son and three daughters. Lorraine also has a pet dog called Coco and two grandchildren!

My future at Tiddlywinks Nursery School is to support my daughters open their very own nursery with the support from myself due to open its doors in Autumn 2022.

Megan M

is based at Tiddlywinks Nursery School Ramsbottom, Chadderton & Heywood

I joined Tiddlywinks Nursery School July 2010, previously studying her NVQ Early Years at Holy Cross College and following on University L5 BA Hons

I do travel to all settings on a daily basis to fulfil my job role.

Job role: Area Manager

I trained throughout University and studied hard to fulfil my job role as Area Manager before progressing from a key worker. I like to describe myself as hard working, multi-tasked and positive! I have a love for caring for children and engaging on their level showing empathy when needed and celebrating all achievements of development.

I like to ensure the standards of the nursery settings are kept high at all times which is a full time job!

On the weekend I like to spend my time with my family and friends, occasionally taking my nephew and niece shopping!

My future at Tiddlywinks Nursery School is to support my family the third setting open its doors in Autumn 2022.

 

Georgia M

is based at Tiddlywinks Nursery School Administration Department.

I joined Tiddlywinks Nursery School as a nursery practitioner in 2016, trained as an apprentice and worked towards my qualifications. I trained in Tiddlywinks Nursery School Head Office since 2020 and absolutely love my new role! I do travel to both Tiddlywinks Ramsbottom and Tiddlywinks Chadderton on a daily basis to fulfil my job role. I enjoy seeing all the children both settings and meeting any new children who have enrolled.

My job consists of administration, social media, advertising, events organizer, tech and charity co - Ordinator.

I live at home with my pet dog Skye and love to take my nephew and niece shopping over the weekend!

I am also a qualified barber and I have clients during some week days!

My future at Tiddlywinks Nursery School is to support my family with the third setting open its doors in Autumn 2022.

Sophie M

is based at Tiddlywinks Nursery School Ramsbottom & Chadderton

I joined Tiddlywinks Nursery School in 2006 when it opened its doors.

I previously studied at Holy Cross College completing my NVQ L3 Early Years and continued my education to Edge Hill University L5 BA Hons.

I was previously the nursery manager at Tiddlywinks Nursery School Ramsbottom until I found my newer position as improvement officer / managing accounts and regulations.

I do travel to both Tiddlywinks Ramsbottom and Tiddlywinks Chadderton on a weekly basis to fulfil my job role.

I live at home with my partner and two children! I have two young children who both attend Tiddlywinks during the week.

Elaine R

is based at Tiddlywinks Nursery School Administration Department.

I joined Tiddlywinks Nursery School July 2020, previously worked at Lloyds Bank for 40 years, I am familiar with all the nursery settings and team for many years previously joining Tiddlywinks Nursery School.

I do travel to both Tiddlywinks Ramsbottom and Tiddlywinks Chadderton on a weekly basis to fulfil my job role.

My job role is Enrolment Officer – Specifically dealing with safer employment/recruitment and safeguarding all staff members. This takes away the burden from the floor managers whose priority is the children’s well-being.

I am married, and have two daughters and looking forward to becoming a grandma!

Kelly H

is based at Tiddlywinks Nursery School Administration Department.

I joined Tiddlywinks Nursery School 2003, and is our longest employee from when Tiddlywinks established she was previously nursery manager of ABC Nursery. Kelly has spent her time as nursery manager, leader and now senior safeguarding lead, SEND Specialist, financial controller.

I do travel to both Tiddlywinks Ramsbottom and Tiddlywinks Chadderton on a weekly basis to fulfil my job role.

I am married, have 3 children, 2 dogs and 2 cats in our household.

Two of my children also attended Tiddlywinks in 2008 & 2014 and I have a fond memory of their nursery experience.

My future at Tiddlywinks Nursery School is to support the third setting open its doors in Autumn 2022.

 

Urooj

is based at Tiddlywinks Nursery School Chadderton

I joined Tiddlywinks Nursery School as a nursery manager in September 2018 in our Chadderton setting. I lead a very strong group of staff members and have worked through operational attributes and hurdles throughout the pandemic as we have continued to work together as key workers putting the children’s needs above anything else!

I like to describe myself as dedicated, enthusiastic have expertise in Early Years Curriculum. I am also fun and trust worthy!

I am married and have a daughter who previously attended Tiddlywinks.

I travel from Bury Town Centre to the Chadderton setting on a daily basis to fulfil my job role.

On the weekend I like to spend quality time with my daughter!

My future at Tiddlywinks Nursery School is to continue my amazing work and dedication and to work towards my goals!

 

Molly

is based at Tiddlywinks Nursery School Chadderton

I joined Tiddlywinks Nursery School as a nursery practitioner in March 2020. I have been trained by the nursery manager and nursery Area manager since 2020 and absolutely love my new role – Deputy Manager.

I do travel to Tiddlywinks Chadderton on a daily basis to fulfil my job role. I enjoy seeing all the children and parent/carer on a daily basis.

I trained on becoming deputy manager and floor management for many years but with the support and training I have received it has really encouraged me to take my role seriously but equally still engaging in fun based curriculum for all ages from babies to after-school club, I love to support all ages and get to know all children!

I would like to think of myself as trustworthy and truly dedicated to my job role sharing similar values to the nursery, and my enthusiasm glows when in difficult times.

Molly describes herself as adaptable, accountable and strong

On the weekend I like to take my sausage dog Amy out for many walks and meet other dogs!

Azra A

is based at Tiddlywinks Nursery School Ramsbottom

I joined Tiddlywinks Nursery School as a nursery practitioner in May 2011, I have an amazing passion, passion and kindness to children. I have a great relationship with parents, and I endeavour to keep brining the best partnership to our parents on a daily basis.

Job Role – Room Leader

My job consists of caring for Under 2’s on a daily basis, supporting the nursery floor and attending additional duties of responsibility as a trusted mature team worker.

I best describe myself as shy, helpful and happy

I like to express my creative side with the children and do lots of arts and crafts during the day at Tiddlywinks.

I have formed a bond with all staff members across the 12 years at being at Tiddlywinks Nursery and made lots of memories to cherish forever.

My future at Tiddlywinks Nursery School is to train as floor management

Abbie T

is based at Tiddlywinks Nursery School Ramsbottom

I joined Tiddlywinks Nursery School as a nursery practitioner in February 2018, I am currently work with all children under 2 teaching and developing babies into toddlers.

Job Role – Senior Room Leader

My job consists of caring for Under 2’s on a daily basis, providing excellent care, having a quiet deminior I present myself very calming towards the younger children, and children feel secure in my care as key worker.

I best describe myself as patient, calm and happy

I like to express my sensory side with the younger babies, holding Sensory Master Classes during some months, promoting sense of touch, smell & feeling. I invite parent/carers to the masterclasses to grow my partnership with them!

I also enjoy the events at Tiddlywinks Nursery School, they are also so much fun and exciting!

Sharon L

is based at Tiddlywinks Nursery School Chadderton

Sharon joined Tiddlywinks Nursery School as a nursery practitioner in May 2009 , she has been with the company for over 12 years, she is a talented, qualified cook, Health and Safety Officer and Fire Marshall.

Sharon works along side our Chadderton setting leading the team with her dedication, hard work ethic, loyalty and all the staff second mother.  

Sharon loves to hold small cookery classes for the Academy and Pre-school children to teach them how to cook delicious, nutritious food.

Sharon likes the describe herself as hard working, flexible and devoted

 

Lynne

is based at Tiddlywinks Nursery School Ramsbottom

I joined Tiddlywinks Nursery School as a nursery practitioner in June 2009

Lynne is one of the most long-standing team members of Tiddlywinks Nursery School

Lynne has completed all her NVQ L3 Early Years, nursery Cook and has recently completed Food Better Business award & Salford Nutrient Award

Lynne’s responsibility is to open the nursery setting daily providing a safer environment and welcoming children into the nursery.

Lynne describes herself as friendly, chatty and loyal.

My future at Tiddlywinks Nursery School is to carrying on providing nutritious, healthy meals every day
