At Tiddlywinks Nursery School, we encourage our practitioners to enhance their learning and qualifications. All of our practitioners are fully qualified or completing their qualifications with us. We currently employ practitioners who are qualified or studying towards level 2, level 3, level 5, Honors Degree in Early Years and level 4 in Management.

At Tiddlywinks Nursery School it is mandatory for all practitioners to have the following training:

  • Safeguarding
  • Paediatric first aid
  • Food hygiene
  • Working with babies

  • Raising attainment through effective use of the pupil premium (EYPP)
  • 'OFSTED Big Conversation' - bringing Early Years Care Providers together with Ofsted across the UK
  • 'Brave Boys' - teaches our practitioners how to raise attainment levels in boys
  • Tapestry and Deputy training - how to access and update our children's individual Online Learning Journeys
  • Peer Observations in Early years - reflecting on and improving practice as a team
  • Hygiene Practices
  • Supporting personal, social and emotional development
  • Planning and Assessment in Early years
  • Funding training (15/ 30 hours)
  • 'The world and I' - personal development, behaviour and welfare
